Peter was raised in Santa Cruz, California, where he learned he could never live too far away from a beach. After high school, he briefly attended Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, where he worked with the Oregon Law Commission. Peter then spent a year living and working in Munich, Germany, before transferring to UC San Diego, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Business and a minor in Chinese Studies. After two years working at a local Fintech firm, Peter decided to pursue his passion for law by attending law school.
He graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was an active member of the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (VICAM) team. He competed in a prestigious competition at Fordham University School of Law in New York City and served as a student coach for the team in his third year. Peter also held the roles of competition director and vice president for the team.
Peter was initially drawn to work at TBM because of the VICAM team’s connection to Michael T. Thorsnes, who was a major supporter of the team. Peter was proud to organize the VICAM competition hosted by the University of San Diego in February 2023, which was named in honor of Thorsnes.
Peter began clerking at TBM in 2023 and joined the firm as an associate in 2024 after being sworn into the California Bar. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, listening to live music, traveling, and golfing.
